RCA TV Problems

RCA, a leading manufacturer of consumer electronics, markets a range of products from high definition televisions to camcorders. If your RCA television was made in the spring of 2010 it was most likely manufactured by the ON Corp. If your television was made prior to April 2010, it was most likely manufactured by TTE Technology, Inc.

Front Panel Buttons Not Working

The buttons on the front panel of your RCA television not working is a common problem on RCA televisions. Check to see if your buttons are locked. This is due to the parental control functions installed on the television. You can unlock the buttons using the remote control. Access the menu and turn off parental controls to re-activate the front panel.

Picture Is Off Color

Access the picture quality settings using the remote control. Once in the menu you will be able to select and change the picture quality. You will be able to adjust the brightness, color, contrast, tint and sharpness of your picture. If your picture is still off color, check your antenna or cable provider to make sure the problem does not originate on their end.

Information in TV Guide Is Not Correct

Your RCA television must be turned off in order to receive updates. RCA recommends leaving your television off for at least 10 hours a day so it can properly update. If you are using a cable box, the box must remain on to receive the updated information. However, if you are using a VCR, the VCR itself needs to be turned off for the same amount of time as the television.
