Visual Basic is a computer programming language developed by Microsoft. VBA stands for "Visual Basic for Applications;" it allows users to customize a variety of Microsoft applications, such as Microsoft Office. There are a number of online courses available.

VBA training topics include VBA object models and variables, repetition structure, the Select Case statement, the MsgBox function, creating custom forms, handling errors, using Automaton, using the check box and list box controls, and working with string, date, and numeric variables.
Courses

VBA online courses are available for beginners, intermediates and experts. Some courses are up to 5 days in length and cost over $2000. Other web-based courses are self-paced and cost less than $200. Prices are as of December 2010.

Training providers include Microsoft, as well as a number of third-party training providers. While Microsoft does provide VBA training, it is not offered online. Furthermore, it tends to be very specialized, and taught in conjunction with other courses.
