1985 Yamaha Venture Royale Weight Specifications

The Venture Royale was the first of two forms of the Venture touring motorcycle that Yamaha produced. The Royale was produced in two generations, the first spanning from 1983 to 1985 and the second from 1986 to 1993.

1983-1985 Weight Specs

The first generation of the Yamaha Venture Royale had a curb weight of 751.5 lbs. (340.8 kg) with a 5.3 gallon (20 liter) fuel tank full. Its load capacity was 417 lbs. (189 kg).

1986-1993 Weight Specs

The second generation of the Yamaha Venture Royale had a slightly increased curb weight of 785 lbs. (356 kg) with a 5.3 gallon (20 liter) fuel tank full. Its load capacity was the same as the first: 417 lbs. (189 kg).

Subsequent Models

Yamaha released the Royal Star Venture in 1999 and produced it until 2009. That motorcycle used a similar engine as the Venture Royale but more classically stylized. Its curb weight is comparable to the Venture Royale despite a slightly larger engine.
