Aphids are insects found on many plants including roses. They get their strength by sucking sap out of leaves and stems on rose bushes and can even wilt the leaves if there are enough of them to do damage. Does this Spark an idea?

A way to control rose aphids is by introducing beneficial insects that will prey on the aphids and destroy them. Lady beetles and parasitic wasps help wipe out the aphid population by feeding on them.

Insecticides may also be used to control aphids. There are organic contact insecticides, chemical contact insecticides and systemic insecticides.

Spray aphids off your roses. An easy and inexpensive way to control aphids is by hosing them off rose bushes. A good spray of water with a garden hose is lethal to most aphids.
