Comparison of HP 33 & HP 35 Calculators

The HP 33 and HP 35 are scientific calculators designed by Hewlett Packard. As of December 2010, the current versions of each of these calculators are the HP 33s and the HP 35s.

  1. Memory

    • The primary difference between the HP 33s and the HP 35s is in the total available memory. The HP 33s only has 27 memory registers, where the HP 35s has 800, allowing it to store far more data.

    Body

    • Both calculators feature a plastic body with a metal face plate. The HP 33s also includes rubber grips on the side. The HP 33s measures 3.2-by-0.63-by-6.2 inches, compared to 3.23-by-0.72-by-6.22 for the HP 35s. The 33s includes a storage pouch and the 35s includes a premium protective case.

    Price

    • As of December 2010, the HP 33s retails for $39.99. The HP 35s retails for $59.99.

    Testing

    • Both calculators can be used for the SAT reasoning test, SAT Level 1 and 2 Mathematics tests, ACT tests, PSAT/NMSQT tests, AP Chemistry and Physics tests, PLAN test and EXPLORE tests. Only the HP 33s can be used for FE/PE testing.
