Outdoor Vs. Marine Plywood
Outdoor and marine plywood are constructed of thin pieces of wood from logs. Veneer pieces are cut, dried, repaired or patched and then glued and baked to form plywood sheets. Next, they are patched, resized and refinished according to grade requirements. Does this Spark an idea?

Outdoor Plywood
-
Outdoor plywood resists cracking, warping and shrinking in comparison to traditional lumber. It is used for industrial purposes and commercial construction as well as home improvement projects, and is suitable for water-resistant purposes. This type of plywood is constructed with low quality glues, is thin and contains defects and joints.
Marine Plywood
-
Marine plywood is made from high-density hardwoods, has no defects and is thicker and stronger than outdoor plywood. It is constructed with a solid core layer and waterproof glue, and costs about three times more than outdoor plywood. Marine plywood resists rotting and is used for constructing airplanes, boats, docks and outdoor projects.

Considerations for Storage
-
Painting the edges of plywood or sealing them with candle wax will prevent moisture absorption in storage. Store plywood sheets flat to prevent distortion and warping.
