The Orbit and Orbit 2 have 400 megahertz (MHz) processors, but the Orbit's processor is manufactured by Samsung and the Orbit 2's processor is manufactured by Qualcomm. The Qualcomm processor is faster than the Samsung processor.
SD Card

On the Orbit, the micro storage device (SD) card was hidden beneath the subscriber identity module (SIM) card, making it difficult to access. The Orbit 2 has a slot on the side of the PDA for inserting the micro SD card, making it easier to load and remove.

The Orbit is slightly thicker than the Orbit 2 but the Orbit 2 is 3 grams heavier than the Orbit.

Other changes were made between the Orbit and the Orbit 2. Some buttons were eliminated in the Orbit 2 design and the touchscreen must be used in their place. The screen on the Orbit 2 is flatter with an anti-glare coating.
