Remington Rifle Information
The Remington Arms Company was founded in 1816. The company claims it is the only U.S. manufacturer that produces both firearms and ammunition. Its products include a number of rifles for hunting and sports shooting.

Bolt Action and Semi-Automatic
-
Remington produces both bolt action and semi-automatic rifles. Its bolt action rifles include the model 770 rifle, while its semi-automatic rifles include the model R-15 rifle.
Left and Right Handed Rifles
-
Bolt action rifles require the shooter to pull back a bolt to remove a spent round from the rifle's chamber, and to push it back forward to chamber a new round. Because shooters can be left or right handed, Remington produces rifles with the bolt action facing out, either on the left or right hand side of the rifle.

Calibers
-
Remington rifles come in a variety of calibers. These include .30, .45, .17, .204, .223, .243, and .308 caliber rounds.
Rimfire and Centerfire
-
Remington produces both rifles that use rimfire round and rifles that use centerfire rounds. Rimfire rounds have the priming compound that fires the bullet distributed through the case rim, and centerfire rounds have the priming compound in the center of the round. Rifles designed for each round type have firing mechanisms to strike the round in the appropriate location.
