Flashing a system's BIOS used to be a daunting task which included making a bootable floppy disk with the new BIOS on it and booting to it. The process has become much simpler. Dell makes it easy to upgrade the BIOS of your system when a new release comes out. You can use a BIOS upgrade CD or download the utility from Dell's website and run it like any other program. It automatically upgrades the BIOS.
