Plant breeders spray peace lily plants with the plant hormone gibberellic acid to stimulate flowering before sale, according to the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.
Light

The amount of light a peace lily receives plays a large role in when and how much the plant blooms. A peace lily that has not been blooming can be encouraged to flower by increasing the amount of sunlight it receives. Peace lilies can survive in low light, but are more likely to set bloom when they receive bright filtered light.

There are many different varieties of spathiphyllum, each bred to encourage a particular habit, according to the website Plant-Care.com. Some types will naturally produce more flowers more often, while varieties that have been bred for their foliage may bloom little or not at all.

I will be able to get 10 or more plants from my potted Peace Lily! I plan on keeping one in a pot and putting the rest in the ground.
