Cherry Cheesecake rhododendrons reach up to 5 feet in height after growing for about 10 years. The plant forms a large mound with lush foliage. The rhododendron grows in USDA hardiness zones 5 to 9 where temperatures never dip below 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hachmann's Charmant is a newer cultivar selected in Germany for its cold tolerance traits. Cherry Cheesecake is an improved form of the new cultivar. Improvements include the pink color along the edges and the red blotch found on the flowers.
