Chinese Numerology Compatibility Information

Numerology has been used in China for thousands of years.

Chinese numerology is based on using the numerals 1 through 9 on a grid, which shows how often each number occurs in your birth date. Based on the results, it is believed that individuals with certain numbers are compatible, or not, with others.

Meanings

The number 1 stands for power and control; 2 for cooperation and companionship; 3 for uniqueness and self-expression; 4 for harmony and balance; 5 for novelty and excitement; 6 for work and community; 7 for intelligence and sophistication; 8 for change and transformation, and 9 for passion and fighting.

First Set

All numbers are assumed to be compatible with their same number; for instance, 1s get along well with other 1s. In addition, the first set of number, 1 through 4, is compatible as follows: 1s work well with the numbers 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9; 2s with 4, 6, and 9; 3s with 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9; 4s with 1, 2, 5, 7, 8 and 9.

Second Set

The second set of numbers, 5 through 9, is compatible as follows: 5s get along with 1, 3, 4, 7 and 8; 6s with 2, 3 and 9; 7s with 1, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 9; 8s with 3, 4, 5 and 7; and 9s with 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7.
