The 1980 CJ-5 is a sports utility and off-road vehicle manufactured by Jeep. The 1980 model came in nine different versions, all with slightly different specifications than the 2.5L base model.
Engine and Performance
The base trim level for the 1980 CJ-5 featured a GM manufactured 2.5L four-stroke gasoline engine. With two valves per cylinder, the engine featured a bore and stroke of 4 by 3 inches and an 8.2-to-1 compression ratio. The 1980 CJ-5 reached 87 horsepower at 4,200 rpm with 126 lb.-feet of torque at 2,400 rpm.
Transmission
