About a Compatible Wireless Print Server

Wireless print servers let you host several wireless printers on the network without limiting the printers' location to a local computer. Print servers are generally used on company networks to distribute printers throughout the building.

Function

Wireless print servers that are compatible with your network must be able to work with the operating system. If you use a Windows operating system on the network, then the print server must be able to "talk" to Windows computers.

Types

Wireless print servers are connected to routers, or you can purchase an individual print server located anywhere on your network. The print server must be in range of the wireless printers signal to work with the hardware.
