Laundry
-
Use vinegar as a part of your laundry routine. Add 1 cup of white vinegar to your washing machine during the final rinse cycle. It will make your clothes come out of the washer feeling softer. It also helps remove lint from dark clothes.
Cleaning
-
Mold can grow on the outside of your washing machine. Wash it away using a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Clean the inside of your washing machine by running an empty load with hot water. Add a cup of white vinegar to the water to keep the interior of your washer smelling fresh.

Considerations
-
Never add vinegar to a load of wash to which you have already added bleach. Vinegar increases the power of bleach, which can damage your clothing. It can also expose you to fumes that can cause skin irritation, burning in your eyes and breathing difficulties.
