Bridge welding certification is a testimony that a welder has the necessary qualifications to work privately or publicly building and maintaining bridges. The certification process evaluates the skills of a welder and this can result in a better job with higher pay upon completion.

      For the bridge welding certification, as a trained welder you are tested on a series of welds. The test is administered by the American Welding Society (AWS).     • Bridge welding certifications are used by welders to receive membership to the AWS. Another use of the bridge welding certification is that the welder is able to progress in his career and apply for job roles such as a certified bridge welding supervisor. Membership in AWS provides discounts on welding tools and access to welding publications such as "Welding Journal."
