Car audio installation technicians install, maintain and troubleshoot radios, compact disc players and speakers in vehicles. Some install DVD players. Most car audio installation technicians need no more than a high school diploma and strong knowledge of car audio devices to land a job. They can receive additional training through vocational schools or community colleges, which offer courses in related areas such as math, telecommunications and electronics.
