Community Outreach & Law Meeting Plan Training Enforcement
A community outreach effort and law meeting to plan training enforcement requires an abundance of human resources. Community leaders have a responsibility to notify residents, community organizations, law enforcement representatives, local politicians and experienced educators. As leaders, they must set the tone of the meeting.
-
Initial Organization
-
Active community leaders often initiate community organizations and call for meetings to address pertinent issues. A small meeting of community leaders and law enforcement representatives should meet to discuss emergingt problems, brainstorm resolutions and propose a plan before organizing a meeting and inviting comments. An informal agenda should be set prior to setting a date and place.
Community Meeting
-
An open community meeting should be planned before any issues become too volatile. The meeting should be proactive rather than reactive to mounting community pressures. A meeting to discuss legal training and enforcement must include every group's needs and perspective.
-
Meeting Results
-
Goals must be set prior to the meeting and evaluated after the meeting. Written questions should be asked and answered by the end of the meeting or series of meetings. Consider what community leaders, neighborhood members, law enforcement agencies and individual officers seek from this meeting. Determine how each group and individual members will be affected by the training and enforcement plans.
