Florida Statute on Minimum Age for Steam Room & Sauna Access
The State of Florida does not have any laws regarding age restrictions for sauna/steam room/spa access. Individual businesses or associations may create their own rules regarding age limits. Yet it is important to keep in mind that allowing young children or elderly adults into a sauna can be dangerous.

Sauna/Steam Room Precautions
-
A sauna may be as warm as 104 degrees Farenheit. Spa use should be limited to 15 minutes, even for healthy adults, otherwise hyperthermia may result. Young children should not be in a sauna for any prolonged period of time and should be supervised by an adult.
Florida Spa Legislation
-
While no age limit exists on spa use in Florida, the state does require that all pools and spas have safety features that delay or limit access, and that supplement the requirement for all children to be supervised by an adult.

Considerations
-
Each company providing a publicly accessible sauna, whether it be a corporation or association, has the right to enact their own age restrictions. Be sure to check with your hotel, housing association or public pool concerning age restrictions.
