Tips to Declutter Your Closet
If the word "clutter" makes you cringe, chances are your closet is full of it. Clear up the little space inside the closet and downsize your wardrobe for some relief. And while decluttering, always remember, "less is more."

Timing
-
It is important to get your mind set before your start scrutinizing your possessions. Select a time when you have nothing else to do. While decluttering, make sure you feel happy, positive and relaxed so that you don't throw anything too hurriedly.
Pack the Bags
-
Get all those empty shopping bags you've been saving. Use these to hold all discards. Label them as "trash," "donate" and "unsure." As soon as you come across an item that you do not want to keep, put it in one of the bags.
"I May Use It"
-
All those things in your closet that you keep thinking you may use someday are things you will probably never use. If you have not used or worn something for more than a year, it probably needs to go. Pack these items in the right bag and put them away.
Use Boxes and Bins
-
Buy a range of containers to stock smaller items. You may put all hair accessories, belts, socks, gloves and ornaments in separate boxes. Sweatshirts and bulky clothes are best kept in plastic bins. This will increase storage vertically. Similarly, stock shoes in clear plastic boxes. Make sure you clearly label all boxes.
