Bake and Layer Effects in Photoshop
Use Photoshop software to apply sophisticated texture, shadowing and other special effects to objects, text and background layers. Use Photoshop CS5 Extended to edit 3-D images and motion-based content for interactive game, video or Web design programs.

Bake In Photoshop
-
Create and edit texture before baking it in, that is, applying it to an object or image so that it can't be edited separately or lost. One method is to create the desired texture as a bump map in layers, turn them into a channel and overlay it on the layer or object you want to texturize.
Layer Effects
-
Select a layer effect to change the appearance of any layer's content. Add shadows, bevels or highlights called glows to objects and even if you later modify the contents, the effect chosen remains attached to everything in that layer. Add a video layer to your image and apply Photoshop layer effects to it.

Layer Styles
-
Use layer styles to save time when you want to apply more than one effect to an object, layer or group of layers. Create a unique style or use one of Photoshop's preset styles. Select a layer style and its effects are applied to the active layer on your screen with one click.
