Online Occupational Health & Safety Training
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Safety Management Society offer free safety courses and low cost certificate programs employees can complete online. Both organizations provide safety instruction through the OSHAcademy.
-
Instruction
-
Online training offered by OSHAcademy is presented with a live instructor who aids trainees with their coursework. Instructors evaluate and give feedback to trainees on their coursework. OSHAcademy training courses also allow trainees to print study guides to help them with coursework.
Free Courses
-
OSHAcademy courses are free and they're available to anyone whenever they choose to complete the instruction. Usernames and passwords are not required and courses such as Intro to Safety Management, Intro to OSH Training and Hazard Training are courses trainees can complete online.
-
Certificate
-
Courses are free but certification is offered at an expense for employees who need to prove they have completed the coursework. Certificates are used to prove an employee has completed a certain online course or has taken a class at OSHAcademy. On-site training programs vary in cost and instruction is given for safety management in areas such as a 48-hour OSH Manager Program and a 36-hour OSH Supervisor Program.
