Issues for a Graduating Teen
Graduating teens face many life choices and some of the biggest decisions they will ever make. Parents and invested adults hope that teens make solid choices.
-
School
-
The graduating teen may wonder if he should continue with his education. He may plan to attend college, but have difficulty choosing a school or a major. If his school of choice is near his home, he will need to decide if he will live at home or near school. If he lives near school, he may choose to live in a dorm or off campus in an apartment or a house with roommates.
Work
-
The graduating teen also needs to make many decisions about work. Even if she is attending school, she may want or need to work part-time to meet expenses and have spending money. She will need to decide on a future career path so she can focus her studies in that direction.

Dating
-
Traditionally, graduation begins a time of life when teens have more freedom to explore all aspects of dating and relationships. Decisions regarding commitment, sexual activity, marriage and having children rank high on the list of concerns for many teens.
