Identification
-
Orange Asiatic lilies have straight stems and a very mild scent. Plants are typically 2 to 4 feet tall. Flowers grow as large as 9 inches in circumference. There are several solid, speckled or striped blooms to a stem. Asiatic lilies bloom from early to late summer.
Planting Considerations
-
Asiatic lilies may be planted in spring or fall. Bulbs should be spaced 4 to 6 inches apart and planted at a depth of approximately 8 inches. Planting old bulbs is not recommended. This lily is an appropriate choice for a flower bed or a border. Stunted flowers should be removed and discarded.

Habitat
-
These lilies prefer full sun to part shade. They are somewhat drought-tolerant, but they require moisture during the growing season and should be watered regularly.
