How to Set Up Guest Access on Wireless Network
Wireless routers make it easy to share an Internet connection with a visitor, but doing so exposes your password and potentially your network's files. To avoid this, guest access may be set up on compatible routers, keeping the visitor's machine separated from the network.

Netgear

Netgear routers provide setup through the Web interface at http://192.168.1.1. Access the guest options by clicking on Guest Network or Guest Network b/g/n under the Setup options.
Linksys

Linksys routers provide a program called Cisco Connect to set up some aspects of the router. Linksys enables guest access by default, but it can be disabled or modified from within this program.

D-Link

D-Link routers are configured on a Web interface at http://192.168.0.50. Under the Advanced tab, access settings for the Guest Zone via the left-hand menu.
