Skype Problems With a WinBook Webcam
Skype is a free online video and audio service that allows you to keep in touch with friends and family all over the world. You can connect your WinBook webcam to you computer and set up the webcam on your Skype account to permit friends and family to view you in real time. If you're having problems, it may be because you don't have the proper device drivers or haven't configured your webcam settings on Skype.

Install
-
When you purchase a WinBook webcam, it should come with an installation CD that will help you install the webcam software on your computer. The software provides you with the necessary drivers to configure and use your webcam on your computer. Without this, you may have trouble connecting to Skype or any other webcam program.
Device Drivers
-
You also need to have the most up-to-date device drivers. If your WinBook webcam is not brand-new, you may have to update the drivers. Go to the manufacturer's website to find the most recent device drivers and install them on your computer. If you are using Skype with an outdated driver, it could result in the webcam freezing or crashing.

Skype Account
-
In order to use your webcam on Skype, you must have a Skype account. You are also required to set up your webcam device in Skype prior to using it. You can do this by launching the program and selecting "Options" from the "Tools" panel and clicking on "Video Settings" tab. Confirm that the "Enable Skype Video" is checked. When you've done this, you are ready to start using your webcam with Skype.
