How Does a Pull Bow Ribbon Work?

Pull bow ribbons are used to create professional looking bows very quickly.

Decorative ribbon bows make lovely finishing touches to many decorative or gift items. Making them takes time and practice, however. Pull bow ribbon lets you make perfect ribbon bows in moments.

Features

A pull-bow ribbon consists of the main decorative ribbon and a thread or threads. Sometimes the threads are made of very fine ribbon themselves. The threads are fed through loops or holes in the main ribbon at regular intervals such that they move freely when pulled.

Function

To make a bow with pull-bow ribbon, you simply take a suitable length of the ribbon (usually about two feet) and locate the pull thread or threads. Holding both the ends of the pull ribbon so that the pull threads don't come out completely, you gently tug on the pull threads. This causes the main ribbon to bunch up into loops. You then secure the threads by tying them.

Uses

Pull bow ribbon can be used to make decorative bows for gifts, floral arrangements, table decorations and holiday wreaths. It's an especially good choice if you need to make many identical bows, for example as party decorations.
