    • The tea tree bonsai needs direct sunlight to survive, according to the website Bonsai Gardner. Make sure the tree receives natural light, not fluorescent lighting. Without plenty of direct sunlight, your tea tree bonsai will die.

    Weather

    • Your tea tree bonsai will do fine in cool weather, but make sure it is protected from climates of 20 degrees F or less. If you are growing your tree inside, keep it away from vents and other heat sources.

    Moisture
