To use your Classic Tri Vac pool vacuum you will need several accessories. You will need a vacuum hose long enough to reach the farthest corner of your pool and a skimmer suction plate. You must also have a telescoping vacuum pole. A compression fitting in the middle allows you to lengthen and shorten the pole to reach all the surface on the bottom of the pool.

Start the assembly of your pool vacuum by attaching the pole to the spring clip on top of the Classic Tri Vac. Attach the vacuum hose to the top of the vacuum hose fitting. Slowly drop the vacuum into the pool and attach the skimmer vacuum plate to the other end of the hose and place over skimmer. Begin vacuuming your pool.

Air bubbles can affect suctioning ability and cause your pump to overheat and shut off. After attaching your vacuum hose to the skimmer plate, place the hose in front of a return line to flood with water and quickly place on top of skimmer. Leave in skimmer basket. Slowly move the vacuum so debris is not stirred up.
