Rail Passes

Rail passes are especially helpful in countries with high-volume train routes or where countries are linked by rail, as in Europe. The length and price of passes varies greatly from region to region, but rail passes are almost always a great deal if you're planning to use the train a lot. Some countries like Japan have rail passes available for tourists that must be ordered from outside of the country. Check before you go.
