What Is a CISSP Syllabus?

To become a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), you need to pass the CISSP exam with a scaled score of 700 or greater, according to the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). This exam covers 10 areas related to information security.

  1. Definition

    • A CISSP syllabus is a course outline for the broad domains that the CISSP test covers. These areas include security architecture and models, access control systems and methodology, law, investigation, and ethics. The CISSP syllabus breaks down the areas into manageable chunks of information. For example, the telecommunications, networking and Internet security domain is structured into segments such as transport formats and network structures.
