How Fast Is the Honda Fit?

The Honda Fit, also known as the Honda Jazz, was first introduced in 2001 by Honda Motor Company, but released in April of 2006 in North America. It is a subcompact car sold in about 115 countries.

    • According to Honda's website, there are three models of the Fit: Honda Fit, Honda Fit Sport, and the Honda Fit EV, available in 2012. The 2010 Fit can comfortably attain 80 miles per hour. However, in tests performed by Car and Driver, the Fit Sport could reach 110 miles per hour. The 2012 Fit EV hybrid can reach speeds of 90 miles per hour.

    Test Results

    • Drag tests performed by Car and Driver on a 2007 Honda Fit Sport Automatic resulted in zero to 60 mph in 10.4 seconds, zero to 100 mph in 44.2 seconds and a top speed of 110. The results of tests performed by independent companies may vary from the manufacturer's test results.

    Specifications

    • The 2010 Honda Fit five-speed manual delivers 117 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a torque of 106 foot-pounds at 4,800 rpm.
