What Is an A4 Label?

Adhesive labels can be used for a variety of sizes and styles including address labels and CD labels. A4 labels are a certain size of adhesive labels. They are the same size as A4 paper, which is slightly larger than letter-size paper.

  1. A Series Paper

    • Paper whose size is based on a ratio of the square root of 2 is part of the A series of paper. The aspect ratio is convenient because each size of A series paper can be folded to create a brochure the size of the next smallest A series paper.

    A4 Paper

    • A4 paper is 210 by 297 mm or 8.27 by 11.69 inches. This is slightly larger than the letter-size paper that is popular in the United States.

    A4 Labels

    • Adhesive labels for home and office use come in a variety of sizes, including A4. After printing on the label, remove the film covering the adhesive, and apply the label to the desired surface.
