PPT Structure
Microsoft PowerPoint is structured in a visual manner ideal for presentations. These presentations can be viewed on a computer screen or a larger screen through an overhead projector. PowerPoint is not word processing software but can be used to generate visually oriented print documents.

Slides

PowerPoint uses slides rather than pages. Slides can be scrolled through or set to transition from one to the next automatically in a slide show format.
Layout

PowerPoint provides layouts for different styles of slides. Layouts contain title, text and content boxes. Tools are provided to format text and graphics within these boxes. Slides can also be inserted without a layout.

Templates provide different design formats. Design elements such as shapes and pictures are embedded in the background of a master slide. Users can create their own design templates. Color schemes, bullet shapes, font types and size are elements included in design templates. )
Graphics

Tables, charts, images and shapes can be created and inserted into the presentation using PowerPoint graphics features. Movies and sounds can also be inserted into the file.
Animation

Text and graphics can be animated with special effects such as fade, slide and wipe. Slides can also be animated to transition in different manners such as dissolve, push and blinds. Animation can be manual or have timed transition.
