How to Troubleshoot Flip Camcorder Problems
Flip camcorders are a lightweight option for recording video. They also allow users to quickly upload video to their computers through the Universal Serial Bus (USB) drive. But users can have issues with flip camcorders when they don't turn on or when video won't record or upload.

Power
-
Flip camcorders require AA batteries to operate. Make sure you insert fully charged batteries into the camera. Some models allow you to recharge the camcorder by connecting a USB cord from your computer to the camcorder while the computer is plugged into an AC electrical outlet.
Recording
-
Depending on your camera's model, Flip cams allow you to record about 60 to 120 minutes of video. According to Flip Video Knowledge Base "...the exact number of minutes you can record varies, depending on the complexity of the content that you are recording." You may need to delete some files to create more available memory.

Uploading
-
If your computer is not recognizing your camera once you insert the USB connector, make sure the USB connector is inserted all the way in to your computer's drive.
