BW stands for Business Information Warehouse. SAP BW has two main pieces of information, the load and query. This benchmark was developed in 2000 and was replaced in 2008 by the Data Mart (BI-D) and Mixed Load (BI-MXL) benchmarks. SAP BW deals with the manipulation of large amounts of data and has various standards depending on the system in which it is used.
