Teracom VoIP Training
The Teracom Training Institute offers telecommunications and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) training through public seminars, DVDs and online and on-site courses. Companies can also arrange for Teracom instructors to provide group lessons for employees.

Teracom offers two instructor-led VoIP courses: Course 110 (IP, VoIP and MPLS for the Non-Engineering Professional) and Course 130 (Understanding VoIP). Course 110 is a three-day course that as of December 2010 costs $1,395 for a single registrant, while Course 130 is a two-day course that costs $995. The cost includes both lecture and course materials.

Course 110 is designed to teach the student VoIP fundamentals, IP and IP networks, MPLS fundamentals and services, IP security, public key encyption, authentication, IPsec, VPNs, firewalls, filtering, viruses and Trojans, VoIP security and practical mainstream solutions. Course 130 provides training in VoIP fundamentals, VoIP applications, strategies for PBX replacement, MPLS basics and practical mainstream solutions.

Teracom's VoIP training is designed for non-engineering professional who require a quick overview of the technology. The courses stress understanding key concepts, jargon and buzzwords related to VoIP technology. At the end of a course, the student may take an exam to get the Telecommunications Certification Organization certification.
