WiFi Streaming Radio
WiFi streaming radio is transmitted through the Internet and is then picked up by an audio device over a wireless network. These radio stations are usually free and many of them allow the user to customize the listening experience.

WiFi radio players are stand-alone radios that allow a user to play an Internet radio station anywhere there is a WiFi connection. While some of these players are very basic, others have special features such as the ability to record Internet radio, play standard AM/FM radio stations and play MP3 files.

WiFi streaming radio is available on certain mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and the Android. To access Internet radio through a mobile device, special applications must be downloaded first. These applications are usually free or low cost.
