The Pioneer Kuro 141FD vs. the Pioneer Kuro 600M

When purchasing a flat panel TV, it's important to make sure you are aware of the exact features you are looking for. The Pioneer Kuro series, which includes the 141FD and 600M, has high picture resolution, HDMI outputs and less than 3 inches of depth to make wall-mounting possible.

  1. Features

    • The PRO-141FD and KRP-600M are 60-inch (diagonal) high-definition flat panel monitors. They have energy-save modes, room light sensors and the ability to do picture-in-picture as well as picture-side-picture. The 141FD also has a multiple menu structure. The 600M has two HDMI 1.3 inputs while the 141FD includes four HDMI 1.3 inputs. Both monitors have one DVI input.

    Specifications

    • A 1080p resolution and a 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio are included in both the 141FD and the 600M. They also both support NTSC, PAL and SECAM signals. They are the same size, weighing in at 110 lbs. and are around 58 inches wide, 34.5 inches high and 2.5 inches deep.

    Purchasing

    • The KRP-600M monitor has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The PRO-141FD is still available for purchase from Pioneer and resellers, retailing at around $7,000 new as of November 2010.
