Outdoor Light
-
Ficus grow naturally in the tropics in all lighting conditions from full sun to dense forest. While ficus can adapt to many light conditions, they will not tolerate temperatures below 40 degree Fahrenheit. Thus, they are grown indoors in many climates.
Indoor Light
-
Ficus can survive low interior light but thrive in bright filtered light. The website Ficus Tree recommends that you position your ficus near a curtained southern window. They will need time to acclimate to their indoor location and will drop leaves during this process.

Other Considerations
-
To keep your ficus healthy, keep the soil well drained and at a consistent level of moisture. The room may range in temperature from 68 to 85 with humidity above 25 percent.
