The HP Smart browser plug-ins are add-ons for Internet Explorer that allow a user to clip or print pages from the Web exactly as the user sees fit, avoiding advertisements and other excess material.

  1. Identification

    • BHO stands for browser helper object. The HP Smart BHO Class functions as a supplement to the Internet Explorer browser, providing a service -- specialized printing -- that is not offered directly through the browser.

    Setup

    • After HP Smart BHO Class is installed, open Internet Explorer and click on "Tools." Go to "Manage Add-ons" and choose "Enable or Disable Add-ons." Check to see that both "Show or Hide HP Smart Web Printing" and "HP Smart BHO Class" are enabled.

    Compatibility

    • The HP Smart BHO Class is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. It can be used with Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8. It is not compatible with some versions of the Yahoo toolbar.
