  1. Restaurants

    • Restaurant owners in Florida are required to hold a SRX liquor license before being able sell liquor on their premises. Before being issued with this license, applicants must prove the following; liquor sold is only consumed on the premises, and a minimum of 51 percent of sales must come from food and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Quota

    • A quota license is required for the sale of hard liquor; hard liquor is defined as distilled rather than fermented alcohol. As of December 2010, the one-time fee for a quota license is $10,750. The revenue from these fees is used to fund alcohol treatment programs.

    Costs

    • As of December 2010, prices for a liquor license range from $28 to $1,820 per year. This depends on the county and the type of license. Suppliers must renew licenses annually.
