Information on Infusion Hair Extensions

Information on Infusion Hair Extensions thumbnail
Extensions allow you to enjoy longer hair instantly

Infusion hair extensions are made from real hair, and they allow you to add both length and volume to your own hair. With infusion extensions, single strands of hair are attached, creating a very natural look. There are two types of the infusion methods: thermal fusion and cold fusion. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Thermal Fusion Method

    • Thermal fusion is the method of applying the hair extension strands with heat. A glue or other bonding liquid is placed at the tip of the extension, and a heat gun is used to fuse this to the roots of your own hair.

    Cold Fusion Method

    • Cold fusion is a newer method, which uses ultrasonic waves to soften the tip of the hair extension for bonding. This method can be less damaging to the hair, due to the lack of heat.

    Warnings

    • Although do-it-yourself home infusion hair kits are available, it is definitely best to go to a professional salon. Fitting infusion extensions takes a long time, and it is quite costly; however, it is possible to cause a lot of damage to your hair and even you scalp, if you do it yourself.
