Function
-
The Icy Box has an aluminum case that houses and connects a hard drive to a computer either through a USB port or FireWire. It has FTP capability for file transfers. Internal hard drives do not come with the Icy Box drive caddies.
Features
-
The Icy Box drive caddy box comes with the external caddy case, an external power supply, screws and a screwdriver for installation, as well as a USB connector cable. It also contains an instruction guide that outlines how to properly connect the Icy Box to a computer. The Icy Box is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers.

Benefits
-
Not every computer has space inside its case to install extra hard drives. The Icy Box allows a person to connect an internal hard drive to a computer -- either a drive from an old computer or a new internal drive (that costs less than a new external hard drive).
