Kitchen Aid Food Processor Tips
KitchenAid food processors make many food preparation tasks easier and faster. To safely operate the appliances, get maximum performance and ensure they last a long time, follow some basic guidelines. Does this Spark an idea?

Food Tips
-
Food processor blades are vulnerable to frozen or extremely hard foods. Items impenetrable by a sharp knife tip are not appropriate for processing. Avoid overfilling the work bowl to prevent overflows.
Attachment Use
-
Confirm all attachments are firmly in place before processing. Apply firm yet controlled pressure to foods placed in the tube for slicing or shredding. Thoroughly chill cheese before shredding to prevent gumming up the shredding disc. Uniformly arrange foods to be sliced in the feed tube to promote even cutting.

Bowl Guidelines
-
Check the bowl often and evenly distribute food that has accumulated on one side. When the bowl ingredients reach the bottom of the slicing or shredding disk, empty the bowl.
Avoid Abuse
-
The KitchenAid food processor is not built to grind coffee, raw grains or whole spices. The blades may be damaged if bone or gristle is ground in the machine. The processor is inappropriate for reducing raw vegetables or fruits to liquids or for slicing hardboiled eggs, unchilled meats or soft cheeses.
