You can get a PMP certification from various organizations, including the Project Management Institute (PMI), Keller Graduate School of Management and Villanova University. The PMI PMP credential is accredited by the American National Standards Institute. Once granted, the certification is valid for three years.

Considerations

To qualify for the PMP certification, you must meet the education and experience requirements. You need a secondary degree and a minimum of five years of professional project management experience, along with 35 hours of formal education. If you have a four-year degree, you only need three years of experience and 35 hours of education.
