How to Activate a Bluetooth on Asus
Asus manufactures computers, notebooks, motherboards and other PC components. Some of their machines have Bluetooth capability. You can use prompts in Windows to make sure that your Asus's Bluetooth capability is up and running.
-
Open Bluetooth Settings
-
In the task bar, right-click the Bluetooth symbol, then select "Open Bluetooth Settings." If there is no Bluetooth icon in the task bar, go to "Start," then "Run" and type in "bthprops.cpl." Click "OK" to open the Bluetooth Settings window.
View Options
-
Click on the "Options" tab, and select the "Turn discovery on" check box. Click "Apply."
-
Allow Devices
-
In the "Connections" section, select the check box for "Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" so that Bluetooth devices can connect to your Asus. Click "OK."
Testing for Bluetooth
-
If you are unsure whether your Asus is Bluetooth capable, try typing in the "bthprops.cpl" command in the "Run" box. If it's unsuccessful, your machine isn't Bluetooth capable.
