Fastskin Pro vs. Fastskin

Speedo was started in 1914 under the name Fortitude as a swimwear manufacturer. It changed its name to Speedo in 1928 and continues the tradition today with the Fastskin and the Fastskin Pro swimwear lines.

  1. Fastskin

    • The Fastskin suit was developed in Speedo's Aqualab. It is said to be designed after the skin of a shark, one of the fastest underwater creatures. It utilizes specialized material and seam structures to streamline the swimmer's form and stabilize her core for maximum performance.

    Fastskin Pro

    • The Fastskin Pro is an enhanced version of the original Fastskin suit. It is said to be lighter, faster and incorporate even greater compression. The suit structure is essentially the same as the original Fastskin.

    Fastskin vs. Fastskin Pro

    • There is very little difference between the Fastskin and the Fastskin pro, including price. Both swimsuit lines will run around $150 per suit. Since Speedo indicates that the Pro version is enhanced from the original and costs around the same, it might be the better deal.
