How Does a Rain Bird Pop-Up Sprinkler Work?
A lawn needs water to stay green and healthy. Pop-up sprinklers are one of the methods homeowners can use to water their grass automatically, saving time and water when compared to manual watering with a hose. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Installation
-
The Rain Bird sprinkler is buried in the ground out of sight, and pops up when activated -- manually, by timer or by moisture sensor, depending on the model -- to water the garden. The sprinkler remains in the ground when not in use.
Precision
-
The sprinkler has several different nozzles available to provide varying degrees of spray. For example, if you need to to water a large area of grass, you'll need to use a full circle nozzle. If you want to avoid spraying the driveway, you can select a half-circle spray nozzle.
-
Height
-
Watering needs vary, and sometimes sprinklers will need to clear different heights to reach their target. The Rain Bird pop-up sprinkler has an adjustable height to ensure it reaches all the areas it needs to water.
Distance
-
Spray distance is reduced by turning the sprinkler's screw clockwise.
Direction
-
Change the direction of the spray by manually turning the nozzle of the sprinkler.
