Computer Upload & Attach Problems

Attaching files is often limited by the size of a file.

Uploading files or pictures can be done through FTP software or through Web pages that have the capability. Sending files through e-mail is often referred to as "attaching" because you are putting the files as part of the e-mail.

File size

You have to consider the size of the file you are uploading or attaching. Many programs, especially email programs, limit by size what you can attach or upload. You must also consider bandwidth as large files may cause a program to crash or timeout.

Software problems

A program may be operating incorrectly or need to be upgraded to solve attachment issues. Restarting, reinstalling or updating the software can often solve the problem.

Media issues

Sometimes the type of file you are sending may be restricted by the software or the server or website. A file may already be corrupt before sending. Files should be checked before uploading.
